Daytona Beach Real Estate - 3 Smart Tips for Buyers

We know that Daytona Beach Homes and Condo bargains are available in the current market. These can be in the form of bank owned properties, short sales, foreclosures or good negotiating on seller owned properties. It is important that buyers who are seeking bargains remember to use the following three tips:

  1. Have patience. Banks are slow to respond and this can be very frustrating. If you are dealing with a bank, expect there will be considerable delays.
  2. Don’t buy a bargain if the only reason is price. Remember the old rule of real estate - location, location, location. Professional investors seek prices well below market, but they also focus on buying properties that will have the highest probability of increasing above market. Understand that when a market experiences increases in value that not all communities and neighborhoods increase and not all at the same rate. In the Daytona Beach Real Estate market, waterfront property, especially on the river or ocean are the most likely to rise fastest. Other choices are the most popular communities in an area.   3. Remember why you are buying. Investors take a different approach than full-time residents. Winter residents will have different goals. If you are going to live in a home, that should be your first consideration. Buy a bargain that you love rather than one that’s just OK. If you’re trying to convince yourself that it’s a great home or condo for you - it’s not. You’ll spend a lot of time in your new home, so buy one you’ll enjoy.

There are tremendous opportunities in today’s Daytona Beach real estate market, buy you still need to be smart when purchasing a home. Set your standards and stick to them and you will make a purchase that you can enjoy for years with the best chance for appreciation.
