New Weekly Daytona Beach Homes and Condos Report Published

Just a quick note that our Daytona Beach Real Estate Weekly Market Report has been published. There are no surprises. Sales are close to last month’s levels through May 11th. Mortgage rates are down again for the third straight week.

Home inventories are holding close to the same level with 6231 residential properties on the market. This is about 44 months of inventory based on April sales numbers.

We publish this report weekly for those who are interested in purchasing or selling a home in the very near future. We offer monthly reports for those who are monitoring for market changes and signals. The Daytona Beach Real Estate Market Report April 2008 is currently available.

We have seen an increase in activity and offers in the past two months. Listings that had not had a showing in months have had multiple showings and I’ve had two closings over the past month or so. My phone is ringing again and that’s a good thing.

Of course we are all still concerned about gas prices, food prices and the economy and the affect these pressure will have on the recovery of the real estate market. We believe that since sales are well below the bubble levels, that demand is building, but people are still concerned about making the big investment. There’s no doubt that the market is not certain. That’s why we spend so much time providing as much information as possible.

We will continue to provide regular updates on the Daytona Beach real estate market with weekly updates, monthly reports and long-term analysis.

The Daytona real estate market sound a lot like my own here in Metrowest Massachusetts. Activity is ok but not great, especially for this time of year. Prices have been on a declining slope over the last three years. We have not hit bottom yet.
