Home Staging is Important to Selling Your Daytona Beach Home
A feature was published today titled 10 house-selling secrets at cnn.money.com. The title is real hype, but the article is good. It features an expert home stager from Toronto, who shows through pictures, some of the things that can be done to make a home more presentable to buyers.
I agree that staging can make a difference in selling your home, but of course, it is one of many factors. No amount of staging is going to sell an over-priced home and in the Daytona Beach real estate market there are plenty of over-priced homes on the market. A home that is run-down will not be improved by staging. If the first impression is bad, then the impression generally stays bad and the buyer moves on.
There is tremendous competition among Daytona Beach home and condo sellers and a limited number of buyers. If you are competitively priced and your home or condo has been well maintained, staging can be the one step that will move you ahead of the competition.
Check out the CNN feature. There are ten good examples shown converting problems into desirable features. It should also give you some ideas about sore spots in your home. You can take some of these steps yourself without spending any money.
Some of my clients have asked about staging and have taken some staging steps. I can refer you to a good local staging service who can help. If you’ve have a lot of people looking at your home and no one is making offers, it may be the price, but then again it may be something where staging could make the difference. At this point, with so many Daytona Beach condos and homes on the market, you should consider all options.
